Whoops, I Slipped...(but, why?)

The law provides for compensation if you fall and are injured due to another's negligence. Many falls just "happen," but some are caused by others. In order to determine if your slip and fall was caused by someone's negligence, we suggest the following:

1.>  Make a mental note of where you fell.

2.> Examine the surface where you fell to determine whether it is unusually slick, freshly mopped, uneven, or contains some other type of defect.

3.> If the fall was due to some defect in the premises, seek witnesses and immediately take a photograph of the defect which caused your fall.
