Automobile Wreck: Protect Your Rights

If you are in an automobile accident:

1.>  Check for injuries to all involved in the accident.

2.>  Call police and request an ambulance, if necessary. Tell the police what happened and make a police report. If the police will not come to the scene of the accident, go to the police station and make a report.

3.>  If you suspect drug or alcohol use by the other driver, tell the police officer.

4.>  Obtain the following information from the other driver: name, address, phone number, license plate number, make and model of car. Ask for their driver's license, and write down

5.>  Look for any and all witnesses and obtain their names, addresses, home and work numbers.

6.>  Draw a diagram of how the accident occurred and keep it for your attorney.

7.>  Immediately see a physician if you are hurt, or within a few days after the accident.
