MARY BETH KELLEHER
BROWN & SZALLER CO., L.P.A., FIRM ADMINISTRATOR

Mary Beth is the Firm Administrator. In 1976 Jim Szaller, newly graduated from law school, hired Mary Beth as his secretary at the prestigious Cleveland law firm of Metzenbaum, Gaines & Stern. When Jim founded Brown & Szaller, Mary Beth accompanied him. Throughout her 25 years of service, she has performed an inordinate number of functions for the firm, worked on thousands of Dalkon Shield cases as well as medical malpractice and automobile accident cases, and has had extensive client contact.

Mary Beth created the database and filing system for, and generally oversaw, the Dalkon Shield Litigation II Depository. The Depository is the biggest collection of Dalkon Shield related materials in the world, consisting of thousands of documents and other pieces of evidence, and was used by attorneys worldwide to pursue claims and lawsuits on behalf of injured consumers. Now that the litigation has ended, she is proud and pleased that the Depository found a permanent home at the Harvard Law School Library.

Mary Beth is a budding equestrian and horsewoman, and her current riding partner is Ladd, an American Quarter Horse. She is passionate about her two dogs, and when there is time, she enjoys gardening and a good book.
